Don and I spent several summers vacationing in Booth Bay Harbor in Maine. As with many places we choose to vacation, Booth Bay is a painter’s delight. So much to paint as well as so much to do, it makes for a perfect vacation spot.
But, as luck would have it, several days it just poured down rain. And not able to paint outside, I made do with some sun flowers I had bought from the market.
They are so bold and gorgeous, it’s hard to resist painting them. Maybe the background in this painting reflects the heavy rains happening outside.
